Summer Newsletter

Well, what a scorcher it was recently!  Hopefully you found some fun and different things to do, but if you’re ever stuck for ideas our growing list in ‘Leisure Time’ will hopefully steer you right.  With parks, museums, places in central Colchester and further out, and Rollerworld is now open again, we’re sure you’ll find something here!

If you’ve been keeping up with the Colchester Community Group on Facebook, you may have seen recently that Sarah and Shaleeca visited the all new Float & Booch.  It’s a perfect way to unwind, or maybe you’re more into having a kombucha tasting session for an afternoon or evening out.  Read the full feature here.

For those early birds among us, Ben has been trying out the breakfast at the newly opened Chappells of Colchester.  But they don’t just do great breakfasts – lunches, cakes, and wine and cheese are also available!  Ben was lucky enough to get a preview before it opened, check that out here, and go see what he says about the breakfast here.

Calling all those who eat gluten-free!  Good news!  Not only do locally owned chain Fish’n’Chick’n gluten free all-day Monday and Tuesday (as they have for a long time), they’re now doing gluten-free all week!  So no more Wednesday glums when you really want some fish ‘n’ chips, and realise you have to wait until Monday.  Best of all, they have two outlets in Colchester!  Take a look at their listing in our directory.

Don’t forget those ‘Shops You’ll Love‘ for all sorts of wonders, and our brilliant independent ‘Clothes‘ and ‘Shoes‘ shops. It’s more important than ever to support our local businesses. Remember, whenever you use any of the businesses listed on, let them know you saw them here!

We’re always adding listings to, and while this is a steady thing, it’s because we want to make sure that we get it right for you.  We fully support independent local business.  If you’re a local independent business, and would like to be listed, please contact us.
