Roman Circus Visitor Centre

History Museum

You can find the visitor centre tucked around the back of the new homes/old barracks off Butt Road into Circus Walk. With a car park for visitors, you can get a space right outside the centre. With parts of the old foundations uncovered by archeologists, you can see how the Circus would have been shaped, and how it fitted into the area (now covered in grass & buildings mainly). Inside, you’ll see a fantastic model of the Circus, along with lots of historical facts and figures to broaden your knowledge of this, the longest Roman structure ever built in Britain! With a lovely café & tearoom, you can refresh while you are here!
